JAY SMITH
Attorney Smith is a practicing attorney, residing in Lake Mills, Wisconsin. He joined the firm as an associate in 2007.
Originally from New Glarus, Wisconsin, he graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and German Studies. While an undergraduate student, he spent a semester studying abroad in Oldenburg, Germany.
He graduated from Marquette University Law School in 2007. Upon his law school graduation, he earned a Sports Law Certificate from the National Sports Law Institute. He was also awarded the 2007 Carl Scheer Venue Excellence Award from the National Sports Law Institute. He recently lectured on the subject of contracts at the 2007 NCAA Expert Coaches’ Academy in Miami, Florida.
He practices in several areas, but focuses primarily in the areas of real estate, business, estate planning, probate, and sports law. He is licensed to practice law before all courts in Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin Bar Association, American Bar Association, and the Jefferson and Dodge County Bar Associations.
He enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is also an avid sports fan, who enjoys watching and playing several sports, including basketball and golf.
