Alex Phillips
Alex Phillips is an associate attorney with Neuberger, Griggs, Sweet & Smith, LLP. He recently joined the firm in June 2017.

Alex grew up in Pulaski, Wisconsin, and graduated from Pulaski High School in 2010. From there, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, graduating in 2014. While at Oshkosh, he studied Political Science and worked as a research assistant in the Political Science Department. His capstone paper-studying the judicial selection process for nominations to the U.S. Supreme Court-was published by his school's academic research journal. In his senior year, Alex applied to the University of Wisconsin Law School, which accepted him on his birthday. Alex notes that since then, no birthday has been quite as special.

Alex attended the University of Wisconsin Law School from 2014 to 2017. While in law school, he clerked for the Wisconsin Department of Justice's Consumer Protection & Antitrust Unit in Madison and the Thrivent Financial Corporation in Appleton. He also worked for the Law School's Consumer Law Clinic and volunteered as a tax preparer for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. As a member of UW's mock trial team, Alex competed twice and served as the organization's Vice President of Membership.

Alex practices in a number of areas, including civil litigation, insurance coverage disputes, personal injury, Chapter 7 bankruptcy, and criminal defense. He is licensed to practice in the State of Wisconsin and the Western and Eastern United States District Courts in Wisconsin. Overall, he looks forward to getting to know the Watertown area and representing its residents.
